Gear Demo: 1951 Gibson ES-5 (three P-90s ) w/ BB Preamp & Electro Harmonix Black Finger Compressor & Fuchs Overdrive Supreme. Note: compressor is in the effects chain before the preamp.
The ES-5 is an incredibly versatile guitar: Since the sound of the three pickups is very different the volume controls work rather as tone controls.
On this recording the bridge pickup is the "main sound" used. The middle pickup thickens the sound and gives it a nice dimenson.
