Voltaire covers his food bowl. Do other borders do this? I don't know, but a lot of people crack up when they see this...

  • Aww, cute dog. Our Collie did the same thing all the time. (He recently died at the age of 15!). We had to pretend to not see him because he'd get irritated and have to "re-bury" his treat if he thought we saw the "location".

  • @AnimalGuardian71 too funny! Thanks for watching !

  • I have a four year old border collie that also buries his food then he will come back for it later. It is really cute when he puts it under his bed but not so cute when I have to clean it up.

  • Border Collies - making the master work! Yeah! Thanks for watching...

  • Every time we give our border collie anything "special" she carries it around the house for an hour, then burrys it under our pillow. I love rolling over in the middle of the night and grabbing onto a slobbery ham bone!

  • oh yeah! sounds good! Thanks for watching!

  • I love the expressions that Border Collies make. It really shows how attentive and smart they are.

  • They're one of the smartest dog breeds after all :p

  • Border Collie protects everything they ''own'' or any1 they love...

  • This is really not that unusual for dogs to do to some extent or another. I have a Eskimo Husky-Golden mix that will hide dog biscuits like this although he has never done that with his food dish.

  • He is gorgeous!!

  • Our Border Collie sits and guards the food bag & growls if you come near it!

She also gets up on our bed when me (mama) is gone and roots around my pillow and messes up the bed where I sleep! She also does this in our son's room if he is gone overnight! They are so unique I wish we had gotten one years ago!

  • ok cool! We can say it's not breed specific ;-). Thanks for watching...
