I managed to pass thru last yr (2010) coming back from central Fl. Caught a few hours Sat pm at the Scallop Fest!! I spent summers there every year,, when I was 9 thru 12 yrs old! Late 60's, early 70's. Last fished there in 1983! Do any of you remember an OLD arcade/amusement building?? Seems an old man ran it, & it had some antique arcade machines in it, & a roller coaster, I think? Bet that would be a great museum today! I'll always have fond memories, & will try n make it back again!!

we use to have such quiet, peaceful, and lowly populated beach. my family has traditionally been coming here for 40 years. i've been here every summer of my life and the experience becomes less enjoyable every year as well.

Mostly beaches are dirty when people/tourists get there. So its not our fault! Its you fault for not kepping YOUR beaches clean...

@Spiritl3reaker Some of us tourists know how to clean up behind ourselves. The town is mostly based off of tourism anyhow.

we are going in 13 days. I love this place. it's really peaceful and relaxing.

It's our vacation spot too. No place like it on this earth.. We love it! We were there at the same time.. because we celebrated my bd on the 25th!

My favorite place on earth. You will have to watch the slide show I made of Mexico Beach. It is here on youtube. Maybe we will see you there next summer! We were there from 6/15-6/28 this year.....next year...maybe a month.

I happen to be one of those environmentally aware tourists......who go around picking up trash with my kids to teach them to DO that. Please don't judge me unless you know for a fact what I do and don't do right.
