This is one of our many restoration projects. The solid lines of these old Goldwings really lend themselves to an amazing custom bike. Most people overlook the potential of the GL1000-1200, thinking that they are just "full-dress" road bikes. But we LOVE how they look stripped down to the bones. Even the over-stuffed seat is usable when you carve away the extra padding.
Look us up if you have an old bike that needs to be brought back to life. You never know what your gonna find behind somebody's barn!

Thank you very much. I enjoy carving away at the original seats and making them look new. There is an upholsterer in my town who specializes in motorcycles and hot rods. He does great work at a reasonable price. If anyone wants one of these I would be happy to make it happen!

@wgildersleeve We would be happy to create your custom seat for around $200 (not including shipping). You must provide a solid factory seat pan with foam still attached. Send a pic of your factory seat with good foam still attached to see what we have to work with. We will paint the seat pan and shape the foam to your liking and then have our upholsterer do the custom cover. Pretty quick with the turn around... about 2-3 weeks if we are not swamped.
