This song always takes me back with beautiful memories of a NYC that once was.....when 42nd St was not Disney Land........when Spanish Harlem was SPANISH HARLEM....now its all one big Upper East Side........sigh........sad

Thank you. I see your account name matches the song. No one really used the term Native New Yorker until this song came out. I agree classic/wonderful songs like this are unfortunately a thing of the past.

I made my daughter a Tee-Shirt with that Logo on it. Oh yeah, I was stationed in England at the time. I've loved that song ever since I first heard it.

British and been to New York twice, once in the sweltering smmer and last Christmas - minus 14 deg.
