@bklajoie55 when i first started watching vid i thought the same thing but from what ive read on multiple foo far it seems vlc in general just has troubles playing mkv files
so yes the solution isexactly that:use a media player better suited to handle mkvs

So the solution is to use a different program called Media Player Classic Home Cinema? How does this fix the vlc problem... or am I missing something?

@MPRO147 I believe it's a codec error that's common with VLC media player.
