MEET JEFF LOSARIA
Jeff Losaria started dancing as a Bboy in high school. At the age of nineteen, he ventured into hip-hop choreography after attending a Funkanometry LA Masterclass taught by JP San Pedro. Since then, he has been training in various styles of hip-hop choreography mainly focusing on commercial hip-hop, bboying and house dancing. In the summer of 2006, he had the privilege of participating in Boogiezones production, Eve, as part of the San Diego cast, lead by Joey Cooper and Jaret Hughes. He loves taking classes as he enjoys meeting new people and growing in different styles. He continues to take class at various studios, including Debbie Reynolds, Millennium and of course, with Boogiezone.
As one of the original members of Common Ground Dance Team (CG), Jeff has been dancing with them since they were founded in 2004. Aside from being one of CGs principle dancers, he has also served as Events Coordinator for one year, Assistant Director for two years, and is currently Team Captain. Jeff is known as one of the friendliest and most welcoming faces of Common Ground, and has helped make CG the unique family that it is today. He is also a member of Surreal for four-and-a-half years and was part of the award-winning Surreal Project in both 2007 and 2008.
During his five years with CG, he has helped choreograph every breaking piece used in competition. Toybox introduced Jeff to house and since then Jeff has developed a love for the music and dance. After training in house foundation under ToyBox for three years, Jeff also contributed house choreography to both Common Ground and Surreal, as well as to projects such as Angela Lins Red Velvet and Dirty Dozen. He has taught numerous hip-hop classes for Common Grounds monthly workshops, summer camp, and auditions. His style is highly influenced by CG and Surreal, with his own added unique flavor that continues to evolve with every piece. Brian Amigable, Chris Bitun, Tuan Duong, David Qboi Quach, Angela Lin, Brian Kim, and Shawn Duong are some of the main individuals who have influenced Jeffs style and growth. Each class with Jeff is different, but they are all fun and challenging.
