One thing that bothers me, is that if the tower was that sensitive then how did they manage to ship it into that building? Unless the guy who built it really doesn't have anything else to do with his life and decided to build it again?

I gotta vote this as fake, or a more accurate description of "staged".
Sure, it may have taken a long time to build the tower, but the last thing I'd do is let some old reporter anywhere near it with a corded microphone, much less wander around it with a long ass corded microphone trailing right behind him.
