Nana Mouskouri - Bridge Over Troubled Water
Paul Simon

When you're weary, feelin' small
when tears are in your eyes, I'll dry them all
I'm on your side, when times get rough
and friends just can't be found
like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down
like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down

When you're down and out, when you're on the street
when evening falls so hard, I will comfort you
I'll take your part, when darkness comes
and pain is all around
like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down
like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down

Sail on, silver girl, sail on by
your time has come to shine
all your dreams are on their way
see how they shine, oh, if you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
like a bridge over troubled water, I will ease your mind
like a bridge over troubled water, I will ease your mind
Oh......

  • @Musicsmoke, he can, he will, and he does. Not in any way that you and I can comprehend, but if you believe in music, and in art, than you already understand in essence. A bee buzzing against a large glass window can feel the limitation, though not perceive just how it works. Just like music, your very own love is a lot older than you are. How can that be? It is true, and you and your granddad have a million happinesses yet to share with each other.

  • @Grroocx Thank you, I bet he will, if he can he will..... thanks

  • @Musicsmoke, and how do you know, my friend, that your beloved grandfather is not listening to every note you play, and smiling. . . .

  • Pięknie:)

  • fantastic!

  • @fwopgossles What a coincidence!! I was about to say the same! My Grandfather also used to call himself a real fan of Nana Mouskouri... And now she sings my favourite song..... Oh, how much I wish sometimes my granddad was still alive. He was a quite great, but unknown pianist. These days I'm so much into making music, I wish he could hear it... Wish I could show him something like this..... I'm sure he'd absolutely love it! Nobody really makes music in my family, except me and my granddad.

  • Nana Mouskouri was my Grandad's favourite artist. Miss you.

  • nice song

    thanks for loading

    blessings

    mahes

  • This is singing as it should be - totally effortless. There has never been - and I suspect there never will be - a better vocalist than Nana Mouskouri.

  • I found her about four years ago... sadly near her retirement... BUT I AM HER BIGGEST REDNECK FAN!!
