That deserves an article in Make magazine! I have a few of these old clocks with seized 115v motors, and would love to get a few back in operation.

Amazing and hilarious!
And, yeah, I'm totally in love with Jeri...

this is disgusting.

i've made a watch that displays in binary with an hourly that beeps the number of hours past midday/night while showing the time in 24 hour plus it has a set alarm which beeps until its turned off or the hour increments
it all just squeezes into a small jiffy box with an analogue clock driver board and a PICAXE 20M micro

lets see you get on a plane with that

You have way more free time than I have.
-
and can you make your own?
-
Great Idea!! you can call it "Weight training clock" :D
-
What's with the fruit laughing in the background? That killed it for me.
-
is your brushed motor accurate enough to prevent undershoot / overshooting?
i picked up one of these clocks from the thrift shop and after a quick once over, i think a stepper will give me the most accuracy.
fwiw, the original motor is called a synchronous motor.
good job!

@jone3333333333 It has little cards that fall down when the spindle in the middle rotates.
