Pharmaceutical Compounding has multiple methods of practice. Examples include manual handling, capsule-filling (or tablet encapsulation) machines, and sieving and granulation methods.

All of these methods have the potential to produce hazardous dust that can be inhaled by pharmacists and technicians. Examples include Antineoplastics (anti-cancer drugs), Compounded Hormone Medications, and certain Antiobiotics.

In this video, a Pharmacist is utilizing two 50" Wide Customized Sentry Air Systems Ductless Powder Containment Hoods for respiratory protection during his capsule filling process.
