There are probably thousands of players better than him at playing guitar, but big deal! Who cares? It's show business, and it WORKS, whether he ever plays the bottom necks or not. Buckethead has a 12pc KFC bucket and a Michael Myers mask and puppets. Kiss has kabuki makeup and smoking guitars. ZZ Top had fur. The purpose is entertainment, and its damn entertaining. Some great players forget about that sometimes.

of course he can reach the bottom necks. thats why the bottom of the guitar is cut on an angle, so he can strum/pick from the back, not over the top

In all honesty, I don't think that it's even possible for him to play the bottom necks unless he was sitting down. But then the rest of the necks and the body would get in his way. It's really quite the paradox. But I agree with you, nonetheless.

Except, he doesn't play the bottom necks, because he can't reach. It looks cool, but it's a waste of wood/material!

The 5 neck guitar is neccesary because each neck has a different purpose. Each one might be tuned differently or have 1 or more strings than the other. Im sure he has different effects set for each neck. It also is for show bussiness though because people look at that and say, "Wow, so cool, I want one!" (I bet it is as heavy as hell lol)
