Incredulous: A vision of manned space construction, huge blocks to manipulate/store small spools, reaction thrusters to move stuff nearby - yuck, phooey!
Instead: Remote controlled semi-autonomous assembly machines. Low thrust, high specific impulse tractors, simple as possible construction techniques, reeling out cables with attached weight cars at the ends, robots that roll up and down the cable as they supplement/reinforce it. No rest stops along the cable! No vast factories!

WTF.. what keep the intermediary stations???geostationary orbit require about 35.786 km fo all objects no matter the mass of each. So the intermedary stations along the cabel are not possible. I that would be keeped by the cabel, it would make traction on the other point of cable in space, and change the orbit of that geostationary point.
