I think the selection of Lars as your play character can be a deep disadvantage as his moves are too generic! He's great to use when it comes to one on one fights, but dealing with mobs, you might need to consider using Alisa or other characters with jamming attacks like a move can travel from one place to another in a long distance. At first I used Lars just like you but never accomplished this stage, but once switched to Alisa, I kept firing missles to those monsters, the stage were cleared!

I beat that level today on hard. :)
I used Kazuya cuz of his spinkicks. I just spammed his spinkicks... dirty but it helped. For Devil Jin i took the gattlingun and shoot him off the train.
