  • is there a different type of grease to be used?

Yours is kind of redish I got a grease which is brown. so can I use mine to grease the shaft?

  • @Cold11Fire yes......you can use any grease you want ( I recommend a syntheic grease) ..... I perfer to use mobile 1

  • @Cold11Fire i use an air power grease gun now a days .....keep greasing till you see the joint pushing grease out of it then stop (dont let a lot of grease push out through the joints, you'll just be wasting grease)i pump the grease till all four joints have push out a small amount of grease(per fitting)

  • awesome. how often should this be done?

  • well, about every 3,000 miles in normal driving conditions .......now if you going to be driving in deep water ...the very next day..... you should grease all 6 points

  • lol, why ffxi music?

  • Well, the reason why I felt Final Fantasy 11 music (jeuno track) would work really well. Was that when you finaly make you way to jeuno for the first time .(the music) fells up lifting yet adventerus. Wile holding a cool and calm melody. Also in this part of the game is when you start learning and understanding how massive the game really is. All and all thats why I felt it would work the best (plus) I couldn't find anything better.

  • Great video. Did it myself with a standard grease gun from lordco. How many pumps do you put in the Slip joints (i put 2 i heard more than 2-3 is bad)? all other fittings 2 or 3.

  • i have a 2000 4runner would you say that trading it in for an fj is a good idea?

  • i change the oil and all the filters myself on my toyota. but there is one thing i wasn't sure about that the dealer does as part of the expensive service you can buy from them. tightening the nuts/bolts on the chassis and tightening drive shaft bolt. how important is it to do that? how do you do it? They do it at all the service intervals

  • Thank you so much for this video, you have taught me so much in a few short minutes.

  • is really impotent to do so???

I know a guy who never grease it and has over 50.000 miles on his fj

  • many thanks for this excellent video!

    well done! :)

  • great video! Thank you very much, made this job a hell of a lot easier!
