  • You have a good point.. classification, structured societal breakdowns in society.. all come back to square one.. It is not only an insecure person who paints stereotypes about others, it is also a propagandist who uses psychological warfare to direct hateful emotions towards others.. I believe if you raise the child to be aware of these factors, they'll be trained not to let themselves be propagandized

  • a dog doesnt analyze your intentions or follow your example, children do.

  • Your familiar with Pavlov's experiments in dog right? It was discovered that if a negative physical stimulus was given in response to an undesired behavior in the dogs was that the undesired behavior quickly went away. Now it had to be an automatic direct correspondence. You couldn't miss inducing a negative stimulus for a bad behavior. But if done correctly, the dogs behavior was very well regulated.

Research confirms that spanking children in this way keeps their behavior well-regulated also.

  • Why? From a Pavlovian perspective it seems to be a very efficient method of training.

  • proper punishment of a child does not include violence!

  • That isn't necessarily a bad thing though in all cases. A degree of cultural authoritarianism is needed to overcome the negative influence of anarchic personalities.

  • Yeah normal bad behavior of children should be properly punished that way they won't behave badly. It's just Pavlovian conditioning. Freud and Adorno were idiots for not realizing this.

  • Oh this lady gave me an excellent argument for why to punish my children for bad behavior when I have them. That way they will have proper morals when they grow up.

  • Our society is becoming authoritarian...

  • Wow, this is great. Very interesting...
