@Defidius - They were using the element of anticipation. & I think Babylon 5 pretty much invented the " story arc " idea, & introduced the idea of ** continuity ** to science fiction, & the re - envisioned BSG picked up on that later. Shows like original Star Trek had little or NO continuity, especially re. : the death of minor characters.

@knoxvilleguy2 most of the time i liked Babylon 5. with the problems with production and the slow turn out of episodes sometimes it felt too slow progressing stories. there were some filler episodes that i just didn't like, but the main story arcs i loved.

@VeryFunnySketches - Babylon 5 is / was more epic than the re - imagined BSG ! & I LIKED RDM's version of Galactica AND Caprica, but I liked B5 even more. SyFy should just buy the rights to all 5 seasons of B5 instead of spending money on a Battlestar Galactica Prequel like " Blood & Chrome ".
