Shaun was even lucky to win this series at all. Back in the second episode, he scored the equal-least but was lucky not to be eliminated.

@desertsonata in the first and second seasons the Mole was a male, Alan Mason in the first and Michael Laffy in the second. Alaina was last season's mole.

Wow... Shaun won, and I was so sure it would be Nathan... at least I thought Petrina was the mole.

Both the fake eliminations were planned from the start. Major changes like that could not be settled upon at a moment's notice. A lot of planning must be done, like locations for accommodation, and assignments. If they suddenly extend the series by 2 episodes, not only would 6 new assignments have to be created, but it would put the entire schedule out of order. Another thing to note is that Petrina was not suspected by anyone until after her elimination, so it was not a trick by the producers.
