Today I talk about being full term and my recent ups and downs. Yep, still pregnant! I'm loving my time off from the business, keeping busy but still relaxing as much as I need to. Lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, pelvic pain, a gift from my sister, a dream about labor and birth and maybe a new name to add to our name list. We're excited to deliver at Alma Midwifery with our wonderful midwives and to have a natural, unmedicated birth.

  • you look wonderful and i love how together you are about everything. i also have the hip and buttox pain at night when im sleeping and this the first pregnancy ive had that problem. im 36 wks now and before i go to sleep at night i have my husband wedge a pillow behind my back and i put a pillow under my belly that way when im ready to roll i just take the pillow from behind my back and it gives me sort of a gravity pull to the other side- not sure if that makes sense? best wishes!

  • Yes, that does make sense and I used to use a wedge pillow under my belly but it started making me cramp up worse. The satin sheets have been the only thing that have really helped me so that I can move from side to side more often so that the hip pains don't get too bad. 36 Weeks, you're so close! :)

  • 40 weeks also on Friday. No baby yet. I feel like everyone is more concerned about "why hasn't he come yet?" than I am. I'm almost feeling pressured to have this baby. UGH! Anyway, I was able to go swimming this last week and it was wonderful. So if you get the chance def go. Well good luck with you and can't wait to see your precious lil boy and find out what name suits him.

  • Aww, good luck to you! I'm so lucky that no one is pressuring me or making me feel like I should've had him already. I do get phone calls and emails but it's all just friends and family hoping I'm doing well and sending me love. Don't let them pressure you, there's no way we can control this situation! :)

  • I am definately gonna go get some satin sheets! Awesome tip!! And swimming has helped me A LOT!! =) *I'm 35 weeks*

  • You totally should, they've helped me SO much! It's amazing to just be able to roll over in bed like I used to, if just a little slower instead of having to sit all the way up and inch my way around so I didn't tear any muscles. Glad to hear swimming has helped you, I love being in the water and am looking forward to our waterbirth. Best of luck to you!

  • i remember going to the park with my son when i was preg with my daughter and someone asked me when i due, they looked scared when i told them i was due a week ago lmao what did they expect me to do, stay home and wait for labour???

  • in australia there is no expectant mother spaces, jsut parents with prams (which i still use even though i have no pram, it is still hard to get 2 kids in and out)

  • okay yah u were pretty big but still wouldnt think almost 10 lbs!

  • A lot of store chains offer spaces to expectant mothers which I think is really nice. Hope your baby was healthy and you both are doing well.
