  • How do you intend to differntiate, or change the speeds of the baldes ralative to each other?

  • They both travel at the same speed.

  • what is the differential for?

  • Notice the top and bottom rotor mounts turn

opposite of each other. Torque is cancelled by counter rotating the rotors. No tail rotor will be needed.

  • very nice....counter rotating gear mechanisms are always difficult to build and you have a done it in a small and robust way......the rest will be easy

  • i am needing to build counter rotating prop design just about like this and i was wondering what all the dimentions were and what you use to sit it on so you could turn it anyway you wanted? was it ball bearing rod end? thanks cole

  • where can I buy that propeller?

  • how are you going to lube chain and gears, why not a belt drive

  • Nick , I am just starting on a turbine powered coaxial machine and I have a few questions . Will you please contact me at - ccatt@stny.rr.com . Thanks Chris

  • Congratulations for your manufacturer work. You'll find many problems in controlling the helicopter. You probably have to change what you've built. I'm sure that will solve. Good luck!

  • OK, you do realize that with the fixed-pitch coax rotor design you are relying on 100% uptime from your power plant? Your heli and the Airscooter have the same major drawback: Engine quits, heli falls. There's NO autorotation available when the main blades' pitch is locked at one setting. Are you going to only "hedge-hop" or depend on a ballistic parachute at higher altitudes just in case? I really don't want to 'shoot down' your project but let's be real here.

  • how does the craft turn, with a tail prop?
