Police say a man rammed a truck into a crowd of shoppers. They say he jumped out of the rented truck, began stabbing people that he'd knocked down, then turned his attention to horrified bystanders. 17 people were stabbed in just three minutes.(nats man in Japanese)One witness says he saw the man and thought he was just pushing people as he ran. Witnesses say he screamed as he attacked people.Police arrested 25-year-old Tomohiro Kato--who had blood on his face. A witness says he dropped the knife when police pointed a gun at him. Officials say Kato told police that he was tired of life and sick of everything. They say he told investigators that he intended to kill people.The attack happened at lunchtime in a crowded district where electronics and games are sold. It also fell on the seventh anniversary of another mass stabbing.At least 17 ambulances rushed to the scene to tend to the victims.
