My uncle had hoarding disorder. When he died we where the closest living next of kin and where asked to clean out his apartment, we discovered why he would never let anyone in the place for the last 12 to 15 years.

This is not something for public entertainment purposes.

  • Didn't any of you visit him before he died?

  • @jellymornington

Yeah, but he would stand at the door, never allowing anyone to go in, let alone even see inside.

  • I am very sorry for your loss and the resulting difficulties of having to deal with the aftermath. Mental disorders are brain disorders, they are no different than other biological disorders. I am a hoarder and I don't let people in either. There are crime scene clean-up crews that I would recommend for people to use after the fact if you could afford it. I consulted a group to help me and for my 1,100 square foot house they estimated $3,000. dollars to help me do the job in 3 days with my input

  • wow..it took me a week to clean out my mothers trailer and she is still alive. hoarding is a disorder. I fought her all the way. I got rid of over a 100 porcelain dolls not worth anything. 10 boxes of canned food and food from freezers. 6 broke down computers. It was disgusting.

Burn? You idiot, that would be be worse.

I say scoop it up as a whole, wrap it up and send it to our enemy via ship. Consider it tactical biological warfare

  • @TSM8088 yeah I tend to agree with u. If my relative had this problem, I wouldnt have it in my heart to embaress them after death.

  • "This is not something for public entertainment purposes.." LOL! If it's on Youtube or tv, it's entertainment.

  • My mom is just like this dude. It's a mental problem.

  • It's crazy that in your uncle's mind, all this stuff was precious, but in reality nothing was even worth salvaging

  • I am not surprised :) Sorry you had to see this :)
