Phone conversation between director Ravi Kapoor & gangster Ravi Pujari

Debutant actor cum writer cum director of the World Cupp 2001, set to be released on December 18 has been threatened to be killed within 24 hours.
On Monday evening around 6 pm, Kapoor got a call, allegedly from Ravi Pujari threatening to kill him within 24 hours for hurting him by casting a character on his wife Padama Pujari in the film, where she caries on the betting on cricket and other illegal activities.

Pujari over the phone told Kapoor in a 4 minutes conversation, Jaada Shaana tha hain kya apne aap ko. Kya daala yeah chaanel vagera main tu ke mera biwi betting karti hain, mera dhanda chalati hain. Tera sar railway track pe rakh diya hain abhi, bas train aana baaki hain aur tera dhadh katna baaki hain. Choota Rajan ne bola tereko sab likhne ko. Agle 24 ghantein main tujhe maar daalonga.

Said Kapoor, I got a call from him in the evening, where he threatened to kill me in another 24 hours. I went to the Bandra crime branch and submitted the recording of the conversation. I will meet the commissioner tomorrow, as he has even threatened me that he will not let me release my movie.

Kapoor added, My film is based on underworld and have used all the original names of the gangsters. It is based on the betting on the cricket and its nexus with the underworld. It also clarifies about the shout out on Mahesh Bhatt.

The movie will expose match fixing. Kappor interest in making a movie on betting arose after India lost to Bangladesh in the 2007World Cup. He claims that he has done a lot of research and met a large of bookies and cops to make the film.
