Hendrix was (and still is) an original guitar player. Not very many live shows were true to the originals. In fact, Woodstock has some shining moments (villanova, Anthem, Purple haze ) but most of the rest was below standards. It was very difficult, if not impossible, to replicate the tone of his albums live. With the new pedals and technology, It would have been quite a bit better. This is why he played so loud; to get sustain from the power section of the 100 w Marshalls.

This guitar's givin me a rush at the back of my throat(can't you tell). Thats why I'm pullin a face like that. I love the taste..(of a left handed strum guitar or just about anythin with strings.
