Halifax Oyster Festival Commercial

The second annual Halifax Oyster Festival, presented by Costa, will take place on Manatee Island in the Intracoastal Water along downtown Daytona Beach, Fla. Coordinated by the Halifax Oyster Reef Restoration Society, the Halifax Oyster Festival is believed to be the only oyster festival fully devoted to supporting oyster reef restoration. The day-long event will feature a wide variety of oyster dishes prepared by local restaurants, raw and shucked oysters, number of other food options, and liquid refreshments. There will also be hands-on oyster mat construction and live music, including a performance by Eric Lee Beddingfield. All proceeds will fund the Society's mission to restore healthy oyster beds to Volusia County's Intracoastal Waterway with a partnership with the Marine Discovery Center.
