Foghat & Eddie Kirkland 1977 & 2010.mp4

In 1977 Eddie "Bluesman" Kirkland performed with Foghat as his backup band at the N.Y. Palladium. Foghat hosted a benefit concert to start a Blues Archive at the N.Y. Public Library...This is a 'clip' from that show with Eddie, Roger Earl, Craig MacGregor, Dave Peverett and Rod Price.
In 2010 Foghat invited Eddie to play on their new Blues CD "Last Train Home" which was released on June 15, 2010. He is featured on two songs, 'Good, Good Day' and 'In My Dreams'.
On December 1, 2010, Eddie will play with Foghat at the Iridium Jazz Club in NYC, helping them celebrate "Last Train Home". This is the first time they have played together in 33 years!

The Squat Theater - I remember that place! Everyone sat on the floor and started dancing after a while. Saw him at the Mudd Club too, where the only "normal" people there were Eddie, the band and us. Was fortunate enough to have Eddie play here last summer and would have booked him again... He wasnt the riches, or the most famous, but he was certainly the coolest. Guess we just have to pick up the pieces? Has anyone heard the great "Booty Blues"?

I was at this show and Eddie stole it! Used to see him often at the tiny Squat Theatre on 23st. he ruled that joint. Will mis him much.
