  • this is quite informative. It is nice to know new knowledge and characteristics and plants.

  • The tetrapanax is kind of hard to work with, though. You inhale the little spines as you touch it and they break off. Mucus like you've never experienced.

  • True Musa zebrina (blood banana) has much more dark coloration in the leaves and a relatively thin stalk. They are beautiful.

  • It's spelled Tetrapanax papyrifera. While hardy here, it can sucker vigorously. The selection 'Steroidal Giant' is the one to look for!
