  • Fantastic, Mark! Sadly, refuse has become such an ever-present thing that it is easy to ignore. Even when I'm walking down the street and I see a newspaper or plastic bag blowing around, I'll go out of my way to nab it and dispose of it at the next trashcan. I'll never understand anyone who can simply toss their trash down on the street, but as you pointed out, there is a certain amount of acceptance there. We can't change them, but we can wrest control from them.

  • Wonderful to hear and see your video. I agree we all make a difference by our intentions and what we do with those in the present. I will share this for more to inspire more.

  • This was truly worth viewing ... Nice to see something inspiring presented in such a forthright and honest way. Rarely have we seen such sound advice given on how to find some peace of mind in a world of little peace. Acceptance ... surrender and catch ... and serenity follows.

  • My Aunt Nethella used to take a big garbage bag and walk through her town picking up trash in front of neighbor's houses that just didn't care Sometime she could not contain herself and would pull some weeds along the way. We nieces, in the days when buttons were popular designated one for her called 'weed killer'. She inspired me never never to litter and try to teach my kids the same.

  • I've never thought of serenity in the way that you characterize it but hearing you articulate it gave me an entirely new appreciation of what acceptance and serenity mean.
