From 1989, a great time for hip hop. KPOO in SF used to play this constantly. From Breeze's debut album T.Y.S.O.N. which had some great tracks including the title track and Scene of a Homicide

  • OMG!!! This is a classic. The Golden Era of hip hop 1984-89.

  • Hell yeah I remember this song. Man I used to have one of those Kings hats back in the late 80's when I was in high school.

  • This single entered Billboard R&B chart, then called the Hot Black Singles, the week of 7/15/89 and peaked at #79 but did not make the Hot 100, also known as the pop chart, according to the invaluable book "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Singles 1942-2004" by Joel Whitburn. Interestingly, Breeze, whose given name is Morgan Rodriguez, was born not on the West Coast but in Harlem. Who would've guessed it?
