Dude ANY school is better than no school, even though most people in the industry know hardly anything about ANY 'certification', including NCCER. It will almost always get you a better job if you have education. But its not required by law. All I was saying is NAHETS schools are like the 'rolls royce' in the training business. Anyone can see it if they just do the research.
I don't care who owns anything. That has nothing to do with what I commented on. I have never trashed ATS, why r u so defensive? I'm talking about STANDARDS... All I'm saying is that if you're gonna fork out the money to go to school, you might as well go with the one that's got the best education. Thats it. I do know someone who went to BOTH schools. That's how I know these things.
UM dude do some research they guy that runs nahets his father started ATS. As far As I am concered they are both the same. I have check around and No one has everheard of that cert you get. So i understand that it might be important, but since no one in the industry ever heard of it, I think you can do with out. Plus if you have proof that Ats is less of a school prove it. Do not trash the school have you even been there??
HAHA! I checked out "nahets" and they are only a group of like 4 schools! ATS has 9 schools! Why would anyone care about a "nahets certification" when you can get nationally certified at ATS for WAY LESS than that of a nahets school.. I also think its pretty funny that they go on their competitions page and try to trash them.. It shows their "character". I ended up going to ATS and I'm glad I did. I saved a TON of money and I got REAL certification.
Unfortunately, this school isn't certified by NAHETS (National Association of Heavy Equipment Training Schools). Compare standards and see what is required to graduate from ATS (NCCER certification) and then check out NAHETS standards (make sure you see Yellow Metal Bootcamp!)
