I have always always always wanted to do this song ever since I heard it back when I was just a little Jason.

If you have never seen Brian DePalma's "Phantom of the Paradise" you are missing out on one of the great treasures of the 70's. I believe that this is the film that made phantoms cool, and Andrew Lloyd Webber actually used the opening bars of the song "Old Souls" as the basis for the famous pipe organ bit that begins the Phantom Overture.

Sadly, it's almost impossible to get the mask that Winslow (William Finley) wore in the movie, so I'm just using my trusty Red Death mask because I'm a total dork. The image behind me is the actual image of the TONTO synthesizer that doubled for the studio in which Swan (Paul Williams) reconstructs Winslow's voice after his disfigurement. Pay no attention to the old guy smiling behind me, he came with the picture, lol. In reality, that is Grammy winning producer and jazz pioneer Malcom Cecil.

I claim no credit for this song, it is simply a fan cover and may be removed at any time at the owner's or YouTube's request.

This song was written by Paul Williams and is (c) 1974 Universal Import.
