Great perspective on campaign finance reform.

  • The bigest thing that stands against this man is that he apears to be a decent and honest human being which means no one will vote for him.

  • I like Buddy Roemer, he's reminds me of Ike. I'd vote for him, even if I lean liberal, I trust him, that is really what matters when it comes to electing officials really. Do you trust them? If you do, you can be sure they will do the right thing

  • @gemcutter187 The Republican are focused on social issues and religious issues. They pander to the creationist, the fundamentalist. Their tactic with wars, big government, is wrong. That's why they still get elected. It's a broader southern strategy that does nothing good and don't address the issues that matter.

  • The reason common sense guys like Buddy Roemer, Dr Paul, etc can't get elected is because the Republican voting base is not intelligent enough or driven enough to do their own research. Fox News spoon feeds them their news and opinions and along with it their special interest candidates and they know they'll vote in any idiot they put in front of them. Bush, Cheney, McCain, Palin, Bachman, Cain, Romney, Gingrich, the list goes on. #BUNCHOFBUMS

  • If you like what you are hearing from and about Buddy Roemer, put your money where you mouth is - send in your $100. Help him. He is the real deal.

  • Sounds like an interesting guy. I do hope he gets somewhere - at least far enough to maybe influence the talk between candidates.

  • The candidates who would actually work for Americans never make, regardless of their party affiliation. I wonder what would happen if everyone who is unhappy with their current party changed to independant? It might be interesting to see the Republican and Democratic parties scrambling for $ and for votes. Personally I would like to see Bernie Sanders run for President.

  • Roemer gets my vote with a platform like this.

  • Wow he's a republican and he's not saying stuff that's batshit crazy, what's going on? I don't know about the rest of his policies but I totally agree with everything he's talking about there, big money is making American democracy a joke.

Of course the republican machine will use the fact that he's talking amicably to "liberal extreme left loonies" like Maddow and Stuart as means to try to destroy him.
