  • Consequences follow choices that you make.

if i shoot myself in the foot, should i complain to God, that "You made me feel pain"?

  • @ConvertAid Point is about the contradictory nature of this alleged god they seem to believe in, which is either all powerful, or limited. If all powerful, no free will. If limited, then that is not the god christians/muslims worship. You have to choose one premise. Either all powerful or limited. Only with a limited god can free will have any meaning. Since god is all powerful according to them, their free will is just an illusion along with their delusion of believing in an imaginary god.

  • @sh00008 "Free will" is the wrong word to use. a better word would be "Choice".

when I or other religious folk say that God has given us "free will", we mistakenly use "Free will" as a synonym for "choice". We do not have free will, i cannot jump up 50 feet in the air right now if i wanted to. but i do have some limited choices. i can jump a foot off the ground right now. In Truth, Only God has free will, we do not. we have choices that come with consequences.

  • @ConvertAid The subject is about an imaginary contradictory concept you guys call "god." It doesn't exist not only according to scientific standards, it also cannot exist using logic. My point is, god is either all powerful or god is not all powerful. If all powerful, you don't have any choice in any decision you ever make. Everything is planned. If you can't go beyond god's given parameters, you aren't choosing anything. It is all predestined. Is your god all powerful? Does it know the future?

  • Funny that you come criticize me when you have videos like this on your page. I have done videos on related topics that are many orders of magnitude better than this crap. Your logic and argumentation are mostly incoherent. You are also, for some reason, positing an all powerful god which is logically impossible. So of course he can't grant free will, since a god with those characteristics couldn't exist in the first place.

  • @sonnygll Yes that is my point. An all powerful can't exist. Also, I don't disagree that you are more knowledgeable than me. I just think you over analyze to a point where you forget which side you are on. Maybe you want to be impartial. But the DF drama is clear for most people. He misunderstood, he did not apologize to TF. He insincerely apologized to his own fan base. That is my beef with him. Oh and the his obsessive censorship.

    "This sentence is a lie."

is the above sentence true or false?

  • @sh00008

That's just it, there aren't any sides. There is no "our side" and "their side". You have to take people as they come. Or maybe a specific extreme subset of a group. Like fundies for example. Although I do consider anything that does not logically follow as a sort of "opposition", or at least something to be countered.

You must analyze everything like that. That is the basis of skepticism. Skepticism is a must for rationalism and just knowing reality in general.

  • Fucking faggot.

  • Is this a joke?
