  • The Brother replied, well if I planted it the way you said to then we would not have all this lettuce. St. Francis replied God requires obedience. The message here my dear brothers in Christ is not for us to question the Catholic church but to be obedient unto it. I hope this touched you as much as it has touched me. The peace of Christ be with ALL OF YOU!!!

  • @TheThedragonwarrior Sorry - I don't get it. Could you explain the connection between reaping all the lettuce and St. Francis reaction?

  • You are not here to change the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is here to change YOU...I really don't get the point of attacking the Catholic Church. Attack it all you want, grumble all you want, it's not going anywhere. Why? Because Christ said so. The love of Christ will prevail against the hate against the Catholic Church. I'm not worried about anything that any atheist or found man-made Christian religion made after the 14th century has to say. Scott Hahn is great.

  • in scanning these comments with all the anti Catholic bias and a total misunderstanding of what Christ was trying to show about the Samaritans (considered half-pagans) in his parables, it is clear that the Church is the refuge of sinners! sex scandals are not the sole domain of Catholics but rampant in many Protestant churches. God looks to the heart. "And they'll know we are Christians by our LOVE."

  • Here is a utube video to answer you question (no apologies call no man father, watch and repost you comments here, ask and you shall receive, I always incorporate prayer and fasting when I'm seeking truth, God Bless may the holy sprit guid you unto all truths

  • @Mcstroke57 ayou are avoiding my question re the Scriptures. You are a fairly typical one dimensional fundementalist, and dangerous for that because you dont use you God given intelligence. You have misunderstood what Jesus was saying in those Scriptures. Wgat about his opinion of the word 'teacher (Rabbi) and 'master. A deafening silence from you because you know you are wrong.'

  • Why are you stuck on why we call our pastor father? Do some research you want other people answer your questions by scripture, keep in mind us as Christians believe in the holy trinity but the word is not in scripture.

  • @Mcstroke57 Did you actually read what I wrote? Apparently not.

  • @Mcstroke57 Now maybe I was expecting to much from you but since you challenged me to produce Scriptural evidence, well the very least I should expect in reply is your reason why I am wrong. I know there are some people who cannot be reached by the truth and in any case do not wish to hear it.

  • @22grena Is it not truth that nobody called a christian in the bible father ?

  • @Mcstroke57 I have to say I was no expecting such an amazing reply to the Biblical support for catholic doctrine, you have truly pulled the carpet from under my feet, not.

Ita as I thought. To be a fundementalist you have to keep things really simple anf of course, when you hear the truth, shut your ears.
