infrastructure comes from people's tax in a Govt.subsidised university,there is a possibility of shortcomings there..........there are good private colleges,spend your own money and have the infrastructure,and be a successful student.........pitiable students will shine from govt universities...as did jagadish bose...HO HO HO

Well said The College Street campus houses the arts, commerce and journalism postgraduate departments, and the administrative offices. The interior is actually quite grand. If the authorities built a flyover and bypassed this area for all types of vehicular traffic, and enforced a no-noise zone, things would have been lot better. Please be assured that many students who have attended classes in these very buildings are currently in top universities, across the North Atlantic divide.

Thats correct Sir,too noisy a surrounding for a place of learning and the students......Authorities must take a note of it..hope it will be understood in near future

Here's the thing - the new-age market-driven dazzle seems to have blinded many a young men and women in India. To them.. a Techno India campus.. lush green lawns, tiles floors seem to matter more than the quality of students and teachers. The Calcutta University has been a center of excellence for the quality of students and teachers it has brought together for over a century. Comparing it with a swanky campus created out of not much else other than loads of cash, is plain wring.

What has that got to do with the video, or even with the university? Admittedly, the video could have been edited better, by mixing some soundtracks, and commentaries. But to blame an entire people merely reflects your ignorance and prejudice. The university is still one of the finest in south Asia, if international rankings and achievements of its global alumni count.
