The ELCA is a mixed bag. The bulk of the ELCA synod is leaning to the left. But there are many individual churches (in the ELCA) which are very opposed and throwing fits over the thought of the ordination of gays. Again, don't broad brush everyone in the same stroke. The other Lutheran synods (Missouri, Wisconsin,...) stand adamantly against this. Get the facts straight. You should know better than to stereotype, or lump together, brother. Take care. God bless!

Don't lump Lutherans together--Missouri Synod, Wisconsin Synod, and others do not go along with this! So get your facts straight. Is there not different types of Baptists and Methodists? Yes, I know there are! We are not all the same! Thank you and may God be with you!

TjmMinistries, but of course, even in the man-written Bible, Jesus never said one word against homosexuality. Man has interpreted scriptures to say that God rejects gays, blacks, and all sorts of other people, but if the Lord continues to create and populate His earth with them, does HE really reject the minority groups that men choose to target for discrimination in His name? Personally, I think the Lord is infinitely smarter and more loving than man, & would never reject His own creations.

Well, blacks are allowed in the church. Remember, "Christians" once railed against people of color, claiming they were abominations, & rejected by God. These bigots used "scripture", & held up the Bible as "proof" that God rejected blacks. The idea of a black person preaching to white Christians was thought as lunacy. If you are going to accept the "Biblical wisdom" that gay people are outcasts, then you have to accept its word that blacks & gluttons are too. Do you accept that about yourself?

@GodCreatesGays2 The question is not of GODS love for us, its our love for him in question JESUS said " if you love keep my commandments " john 14 :15 disobeidience is not a sign of love for GOD friend, he says NO ! to a certain thing we should trust him and be obedient.
