@BxxExxAxxSxxTxxN Actually that is not porpoising. Porpoising is a phenomenon. That usually occurs as the aircraft is transitioning from the "hump" phase to the planing phase. It can occur anytime the aircraft is on a plne though. This was just simply a bouce. Same thing happens on land.

Actually the landing wasn't that great. He did what we call... porpoising. If the landing was good he would have glided across the water. Porpoising can be extremely dangerous because as the plane descends and hits the water or ground and pops back up the airspeed is already at a critical speed and any sudden movements of the flight controls could lead to a deadly stall and at that altitude potentially devastating.
