  • Wow.......Dianne, you're hot sweetheart. Keep up the good work!

  • @sterjamo Thanks. Due to an injury (from dog-walking, not lifting), I haven't lifted them lately so I may not be able to do this weight anymore.

  • this is really good for a 57 yr old good job im 16 and i can do 60 pounds

  • @gym2594 60 pounds is good for your age. I got injured and haven't done these for awhile. I will have to work back up to this weight.

  • @dlaw70 u got hurt from ur shoulder?

  • @gym2594 I was moving a box with one hand (stupid idea) and pulled my right anterior deltoids. After that healed I worked back up to 35# then started getting cluster headaches from a 4x4 patio post in the head (my dogs jerked me around and into it). Once the headaches stop, I hope to get back to bench pressing.

  • Dianne, I do believe you will not only lift 35 lb. dumbbells again........you'll lift more. Visualize success and you'll get there. I know it will take time, dear. I believe in you. I do wish you all the success in recovering from your injury. "Babyboomers" are tough. Please check out some of my videos on Youtube. I recently reached 53 years of age. The deadlifting and heavy bag work was after grueling workouts.

  • @MrSuckerpunch666 You can probably do at least 40#. Pick up a set of 35# dumbbells. If they seem too heavy, go down to 30#. If they seem too light, go up to 40#. Then do a set of dumbbell presses (8 if you can). After doing that set, you can tell if it was too easy, just right, or too hard. Over a period of a couple months you should be able to increase to a weight that is difficult but not past your ability.

  • im 16 and i can do 35 pound bicep curls. i havent tried it yet but how much weight would i be able to dumbbell press with that info?

  • i can do 60 pound dumbbell press like that and i'm 18 year old male. I can only do 50 or so.
