A fender stratocaster 62 reissue made in Japan, with a photoflame top.Pickups have been upgraded to Fender custom shop 54.Sound comes from an AKG dynamic microphone in the front of a Laney LC30 II , tube amp.
For the effects i use a T.C. Electronic "G-Major".

  • That 'humbucking' type sound at 2:00 How you getting that?

  • @GeoStratocaster It's a single coil fender Custom shop 54 neck pickup.

I only use Laney's distortion from the DRIVE channel, and some effects from G-Major

  • Scratch that, I see the gear listed now! Impressive for sure!

  • This just made my day! I gotta know what kind of gear you are running through!

  • I had one of these. Man it was awesome sounding like yours. Took me years to find and years more to find another. Enjoyed your playing as well. Take Care....

  • @GeoStratocaster i think he used the neck pick up + the middle pick up.

  • wonderful tone =) i've the same amp! I recently changed all valves with 2 el34 sovtek in power amp section, 2 mullard + 2 tungsol in the pre. Now sounds incredibly sweet!

  • @stubaru No, it's medium to low action.

But there is no comparison to a flat modern neck, like the peavey wolfgang for example!!

It's not a shredders guitar with 7,5 radius. It;s more like an all around type guitar.

The american strat has a greater neck. Thinner, more comfortable, greater feel, but again not for shredding.

  • @stevespeeder

hmm, interesting. So are you saying currently, it's high action? Is that comfortable to play at all?

  • @stubaru If i try to set for a low action, frets 12 and 13 start to fret out on full bends .

It's a thick neck that didn't suit my tastes..

  • @stevespeeder

Hi, are all foto flames 7.5 radius? Do any frets "fret out"? When you bend really high?

Is the neck thin, medium, thick, super thick?

    thanks

  • That's a beautiful tone man!
