The Applejacks were a UK pop and beat group of the 1960s. They were the first "Brumbeat" group (that is, from the West Midlands conurbation) to reach the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, and were unusual for having a female bass guitarist, "Megan Davies".This song by them was released in 1964 and was written by "Lennon & McCartney". which as everybody would know were two of the Beatles.

  • A really catchy song; and Megan Davies a great looking girl!

  • @Tiger120Mike Yeah Megan is quite good looking, and it's quite unusual to have a female drummer, thanks very much for your comment. Carl

  • carnt belive this record never got higer tan what it did 11 june 1964 tops pos 20 so sad

  • @lowe1918 yeah good songs go like that some times, many thanks for watching. Carl

  • Sorry about AJ: he had a great voice, very distinctive - and the group had a really good sound. The Fab Four did record this (Paul & John wrote it) but the Applejacks' version is better. One thing about the video: you have included a poster by the American group The Applejacks, who were totally different and nothing to do with the Birmingham UK band. Cheers!

  • @huterry Cheers mate and thanks for the info,as for using a poster of the American group The Applejacks" yeah i know but it was very late at night when i made this video and by the time i noticed i had already uploaded it,and it was getting views by then, but well spotted, nobody else had noticed it until now. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Carl
