  • Thanks for this Bro...are you sure this is BO/Berry Oakley's last show?!

  • @caryzia you know now that you mention it ..... i'm not sure ...been a bit out of the fold of recent years ... will have a think :) cheers :)

  • @Scotiadave I looked it up & yes it was...BO passed a week later.

I also found out that Cher's "Half Breed" was the song that kept Ramblin' Man from being #1!

  • @caryzia Ace, thanks for looking that up :)

  • You'd get more hits if you put "Whippin' Post" in the title, dude

  • Is done :) thx :)

  • I can no more fathom this band without Betts, than i can without Duane.

For some reason they haven't been using a pianist besides greg on the allman and the ocasional aint wastin time no more piano, but nothing like chuck. liked page during the beacon run, downloaded that show, amazing. piano during liz reed that show. • God Greg was hot!

  • @DarkeningSkies1 You got that right! But then we wouldn't have had the great/unsung Sea Level !

  • Chuck Leavell is a boss. Wish he'd stuck around longer (not that Sea Level isn't cool and all...) I think ABB would have remained more stable if he and Lamar had stuck it out longer.

  • I remember being 15 and watching this with the local radio "simulcast" blaring! Parents musta been out!

  • @JourneyHome

"he's really trying to push Dickey he's really driving the bass lines during Dickeys solo"

I thought I was the only one who picked that up. Goddamn I love this band.

  • @Freethinker12341 Butch has been quoted as saying that Berry was just starting to come out of the funk he was in over Duane's death, and they were all excited about Chuck's involvement in the band. Just when things started looking up, Berry had his crash.
