Discovery-News.com: Did you know German subs were parked just a few miles from our beaches, hunting merchant ships during World War II? Jorge Ribas gets a history lesson.
@wastedtubers They were often attacked and it was more dangerous to work at a tender then at a submarine. When they were in very hostile waters they used big submarines striped of weapons as tenders.
@BongsIzRippin What? The submarine was busy sinking as many merchant ships as it could sink, war is a dirty business. If the intention had been to murder the crewmen in the water there would be considerably cheaper ways of doing it than launching several depth charges.
@BongsIzRippin Bullshit. It's called war. A week before u 85 was sunk they sank an unarmed merchant ship with the loss of all hands, died in the water. At least the Germans got a funeral.
That voice over guy sounds like Owen Wilson ( Wedding crashers )
