@schevyk20 get the 450r if you ride dunes. get the 250r if you do anything else. i made the mistake of choosing a 450 and i ride trails, fireroads, mx, etc. holding proper powerband in anything but the ol sand dunes is too much of a chore unless you love fouling spark plugs every week. the 250 is a damn beast with plenty of ponies.. just my two cents ;)

@mcmastersnick yeah my bad your right now that you menchien it didint realize the F but yeah its a 2005 crf 250 4 stroke see im a four wheeler guy always have been dont know to much about dirtbikes alll i know is his bikes stock and the damn things pretty fast would deffenitly beat a stock raptor or banshee

In 2003 I bought a brand new CR250
As a weekend warrior, I rode every weekend averaging 8-12 hrs for 3 seasons on the original engine.
no rings, no tear down. When I sold it, it still had about a 165 lbs compression. I used bel-ray oil. I can't remember what type, but it was about $18 a qt.
Goes to show with quality 2 stroke oil and the air filter cleaned out after EVERY ride, you can greatlt extend the component life of your engine.
