What a dreamy voice. Such a great natural actress. She was an original that could never be duplicated.

I seen this movie with my family in 1953 at a theater in Fresno,Ca. Our car was being repaired and it was hotter than hell and the owner of the repair shop lent my dad his car so we could go some where it was cool.

If today's 'hip-hop artists' would take a look at what they do, and realize that this song is gold, and what they do is CRAP, then we would once again have an earth worth inhabiting. . .even with the 'baby daddies', 'baby mamas' and all the other testaments to the power of hip-hop crap! As Maury has been known to say. . .YOU ARE THE FATHER! Hooray for that, now we can pay for another child, 'cause you know damn well the 'baby daddy' ain't gonna pay! Remember a marriage, and then kids? I do!!

This is such a beautiful song, sung so beautifully - totally dig her voice.

How many of today's actors and actresses are first-rate singers?
This combo of talents was common at one time in Hollywood, but now Tinsel Town produces dreck. Makes you appreciate even more the immense talent of Doris Day.

I know! I was really impressed when I found out how good some actors and actresses from "back in the day" could sing!

Examples of singer/actor flops:
Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, and Madonna. However, I do think that Hugh Jackman possesses both singing and acting talent (having receiving training on the stage, which makes all the difference). He really should star in a movie that utilizes his singing ability. (Johnny Depp is a great actor with a barely acceptable singing voice --- anyone see Sweeney Todd?)

Where is today's Julie Andrews or Gene Kelly or Barbra Streisand?

She definitely has the voice of an angel. This is my favorite musical also. The song is beautiful!!!!!
