@Vanrocco66 for the record, I have over 100 friends (people I ride with), with never an oil leak problem. My 1999 twin cam electra glide with 60k miles still feels and rides like new. All the while, a good friend who rides a V-star, has had transmission and electrical problems. He also changed his pipes to sound more harley, and burned up some valves.
Have fun on your victory. I see several of them in the used bike section at the harley dealer. You can probably get a good deal.

@Vanrocco66 "if" copied the color scheme? all you have to do is look. Pretty obvious. HD developed the V-Rod, water cooled, etc.. but people buy Harleys precisely because of the push rod, air cooled & rockers. Not only does nothing sound like a Harley, but nothing feels like it either. If Harley is so bad, why does every tom dick & harry motorcycle manufacturer try to copy the look and feel?

@CaptainRon1913 and for the record, I have a friend who owns a 2007 Dyna and he has had to have 3 different gaskets replaced because of leaking. I haven't had that issue with my 08. .. Yet. I like my bike but I'm going to take a long hard look at the Victory. I can come up with 10 reasons to buy the Victory and only a few reasons why I should keep my Harley. 1. It's a Harley. 2. Nothing sounds like a Harley. Other then that, I can't think of any other reasons not to move on to a Victory.

@CaptainRon1913 If Victory stole this color scheme from HD then shame on them I guess but really HD relies on their name to sell bikes and God bless 'em because it works! Same old design with a slightly different color scheme each year. Primary CHAIN drive, push rods, air cooled, rocker arms ..etc. all old engine technology. I own a 2008 Dyna and nothing sounds like a HD, that's for sure but when it comes to releasing something new and innovative, HD has been invisible over the last 15 years!

@Vanrocco66 but it was nice of you to change the subject from Victory ripping off HD's color scheme, to problems with HD's that don't exist.

@Vanrocco66 They haven't had a leaky oil problem since 1980 when the employees took the company back over from AMF. And from your statements, it seems hard to believe you own a harley, unless it's a really old one. Although the primary is chain drive, they switched to belt drive in 1982 or 83. They have gone trough two engine designs then as well. Evolution and now the twin cam. 3 if you include the V-Rod. 60k mile on my 1999 flhtc, no leaks anywere ever.

@CaptainRon1913 I don't completely disagree with the comment about Victory copying HD colors but if there is any motorcycle manufacturer that needs to recapture some originality it's Harley Davidson! The same bikes with the same chain drive train, leaky motors and options (or lack of) in different color schemes year after year! I own a Harley and have for many years and I visit my dealer to see what's new a few times a year and you know what? There's nothing new from Harley!

Ripping off Harley's look and feel will get them nowhere, especially the Harley orange and black color scheme. Wouldn't be caught dead on that thing.
come-on Victory, I know you make a quality bike, but some originality Please

Dumb video. too much black, same close ups over and over, pure bullshit. When they figure out how to start the damn thing maybe we will see a real video. Oh ya, flashing lights, real cool man, I think I saw that on family guy.
