I thought the movie was sorta silly, yet very entertaining (like an "American Grafitti" wannabe). But it definitely has one BADASS theme-song. I too, wish I could find the 1st version that plays over the end credits. It's like a mystery.........

Set in the 50s, it is about a group of kids & the hijinx they pull while trying to get into a car club, funny as hell.
If you liked Porkys, you will love this.

Surprisingly emotional moments in this movie. Like when the guy is getting ready to go into the Army for the Vietnam War and he tells the old mechanic he works for, "You've been like a dad to me."

Actually it's 1965, but there are several cars and songs from 1950s.
