Indeed Shannon, things are not always what they seem. Your story is remarkable, but more remarkable still is the way you tell it. Something transcendent has happened to you and I congratulate you for the part you've played in emerging from the chrysalis to become an outstanding role model not only for LGBT youth, but for us older ones too.

Thanks for sharing, Shannon. I agree with another here who said that it was rude of somebody to dismiss you because of your good looks. Yes, you are physically attractive but the truth of the matter is that your intellect and the compassion that you share with your follows is sexier. (I really do mean that. If you aren't already in a relationship with somebody, you 'will' one day make some special young man a very lucky individual. Just keep being who you are; a compassionate sage.) xoxo

I just found this. I found myself transfixed to your words. Thanks for sharing your story with the world, Shannon.

Pain=Life.
Except it and enjoy what you have, as life is also a beautiful thing!

Shannon you are wise beyond your years, keep up your blog and sharing your journey, it's nice to hear from a compassionate and thoughtful person.

First, I want to thank you for the insight and advice you've given.
But, I'm going through some tough times right now and it doesn't really help to think that everybody else might have the same problem, because that doesn't solve mine.
So, it might be good advice for some people, but it doesn't really help me.
I just wanted to share this.
Xx

Wow! This pretty much had me in tears! I have been through alot of the same things as you...and its so inspirational to see how you've rose above it and continue to grow. You've gone through the fire and emerged tempered stronger than ever. This video will help so many, I'm way older than you and it motivates me as I'm having a rough time right now. Thanks so much for making this! Stay strong!
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing these intensely painful and personal recollections and your wonderful perspective on them.
