  • Andreas Grosser made an VF14EF tube. It's actually a FET circuit. Used it in a U47. It was my buddies mic... sounds amazing :)

    It is NOT an exact replacement, believe me.... did you open one up and see what's inside? There is only a finite number of real VF14 tubes left. When I shot out the new Telefunken tube with my original VF14's there was a HUGE difference! And not in a good way. Don't believe everything that you read. And as for the guy in this video worrying that he's burning out his VF14, that tube will outlast him if his power supply and microphone and tube sockets are maintained and cleaned.

  • I like the first U47 you demo'ed. what was the capsule in that one?

  • Telefunken USA now make an exact replacement tube.
