Kostner was a bit of a political boondoggle, wasn't it? I think it wasn't in the original plans when the line was first envisioned.

Kostner station closed on September 2, 1973 along with California and Central also on the congress line due to cta budget cuts. Kostner was one of the shortest-lived cta stations.
