great cover
-
Original Bo Diddley version is excellent.

A 5 star song: Who Do You Love - The Misunderstood [Riverside, California] - 1967 - "NOTCHED a UK Top 20 hit (in 1970 now known as Juicy Lucy) with their reading of the Bo Diddley perennial." - Before The Dream Faded-1992. NOTE: One of the great lost '60s albums. With magnificent guitar work and nervy, ambitious (if a bit overtly cosmic) songwriting that combines some of the best aspects of the Jeff Beck-era Yardbirds and Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd.

Wow. Great version of this stomp-rock classic. Where have they been all my life?
Trivia: the singer now lives in Thailand and is a distinguished jeweller.

I remember it well. Late 60's on The Late Great John Peels Perfumed Garden either at night on pirate radio or later when the Beeb realised they were not of the moment. Other sounds around then were, The Velvet Underground, The Byrds, The Doors, Love, Spirit, Moby Grape, oh I mean there were just loads of West Coast stuff.... Saw Juicey Lucy as Miso's became later at Hampstead Country Club which was a lovely little club behind Belsize Park Underground station. Happy Days

Amazing, I saw them at the Country Club too. I think the support band might have been called Screwdriver. That was a great little club. Saw loads of brilliant groups there.

@hawkmoon03111951 They were called the The Screw I think - and they were the loudest band I ever saw live! Good club

@Roseingrave I think you're right, it was 'The Screw'. I was close but it was 42 years ago. I agree about the volume, they were amazingly loud.

Thanks for your confirmation. I thought I was right, but it was such a long time ago and I only saw them once, whilst they were still calling themselves The Misunderstood.
